Jean-Michel Basquiat was an artist for whom music was constantly linked with his art. In the scenography of his exhibition at the Philharmonie de Paris, we will discover two worlds that shaped the artist’s entire body of work. The exhibition alternates between the influences and idols who guided him throughout his career and his artistic and musical production, the two aspects continually linked. Through a focus on the canvas, the artist’s principle medium, we will immerse ourselves in his art, his words, his symbols and his music. Basquiat and music is a dialogue between sound, artwork and the canvas. It is an exhibition that can be heard, seen and felt.
