Covering up and crossing out were distinctive elements in the work of Jean-Michel Basquiat, both in his pictorial production and his music. Between the revealed and the hidden, our intention is to put the visitor in a position to view and review the works in several ways, giving them a better understanding of the influence of music over the course of a circuit that is freely explored, a series of openings and links that seek to create a porosity between the different subjects addressed. The raw materiality of the context of a New York under construction is evoked in the scenography through different structures that serve as display stands for documents or listening stations. The display walls are not only used as a neutral backdrop, but as supporting instruments for the music.
