How will we live in Parisian buildings in the future? The project is based on the application of research carried out to try and imagine how we will house ourselves, work and consume in the future. The island building has been designed like a small city. You can live there, eat, meet people, entertain yourself and work. To be accessible and attractive, it allows different forms of work to co-exist (traditional or shared office) as well as different forms of housing (traditional or shared housing). The private spaces are reduced to give way to larger community living spaces. These places have two opposing needs: privacy and sociability. The project design is based on this antinomy, offering a structure that plays with residents’ wishes and perceptions. Translucent, opaque.
